Foundation and values
SOLUS was founded in 1925 by H. Sønderby & Co. in Tarm, Denmark. From the beginning, we have had a strong focus on delivering products that combine quality, functionality and durability. 60s - 80s
Development and growth
In the 1960s and 1980s, SOLUS began developing the first sludge vacuums and washers for the Danish market. This development marked the beginning of our journey as an innovative player in vacuum technology and machine parts. We began to understand the importance of adapting our solutions to our customers' specific needs and challenges.
The 90s
International expansion
In the 1990s, we set our sights on international growth. SOLUS quickly established itself as a trusted supplier across Europe and we have since worked closely with both local and international customers. Our ability to deliver quality and customized solutions has been a key factor in our success.
2000s
Innovative solutions for the future
Into the 2000s, we became even more focused on innovation. We began developing modular products that could be tailored to the needs of individual customers. This approach has not only strengthened our position as one of the leading suppliers of vacuum technology, but also allowed us to be a problem solver for our customers in all industries.
2024
Generational change and future goals
In 2024, Peter Birkedal and Jonas Toft Andersen took over the management of SOLUS and we have set our course to become Europe's leading supplier of vacuum technology and machine parts. We have moved to new, modern facilities in Langå, where we can continue to develop innovative solutions and strengthen our organization. Our goal is to be a company characterized by quality, collaboration and innovation - all created in close partnership with our customers.
